Puma LE

The Puma Air Force (All Environments) small unmanned aircraft systems is used by the US Air Force. This drone is a capable intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance system that is designed to perform in a variety of environments, including land and maritime. Its sturdy design makes it very efficient in high-altitude environments. It can also perform search andrescue missions, drug interdiction missions and maritime patrol missions. The Puma 3 AE drone is a small, unmanned aircraft with a high-mounted main assembly and a traditional single-fin tail unit. It is easily controlled by one person while in the field and by a second operator at a ground control station. The aircraft can make deep stall landings or recover from a deep stall. It is equipped a Mantis-i45 sensor suite. This includes a 50x dual 15 megapixel electrooptical camera, an 1.2MP low light camera, and thermal imaging systems that are 640x512p.

The Puma 3AE drone is capable both of land and marine operations. It weighs in at just 15 lbs and has a wingspan 9.2 feet. It can run for 2.5 hours and can land in water. The RQ-20 AE has a range of twelve miles and a flight time of three hours. It has a wingspan of nine feet and weighs in at fourteen pounds. The United States plans to deploy a few of these drones to Ukraine in April 2022. These drones will be used for assessing threat levels and enemy strength within areas like Ukraine. The RQ-20 is also equipped to perform ISR missions in the environment, including Scout Surveil mission, environmental threat assessment, and target scouting.
